This was my first time shipping a car, and as it happens it had to go about as far as you can send a car within the U.S. - across an ocean and then a continent. Adding to the complexity, I wasn't able to be with the car at the origin. Magic Carpet was recommended to me by a friend who had just shipped her car with them a few weeks before me, and it turns out to have been a good recommendation.

Stephanie was very responsive and patient in answering my many questions and was very helpful with all details, like what kinds of documentation you need to have on hand at each stage of the process (very important in my situation since I wasn't there in person at the origin). At no point after speaking with her was I in any doubt of what was going on, what needed to happen, next steps, etc. She also made dealing with the various carriers a seamless process - in the Hawaii-to-mainland case, that's working and scheduling with both a big ocean freight company and then the carrier that trucks the car to its final destination. The entire process couldn't have been easier.

All in all it was an excellent experience and I'd recommend Magic Carpet to others without hesitation.
