Customer service was good, it seemed like poor Greg was getting over worked but there were a few things done...messy. I was expecting the price to be high, but not like that. I moved a car right before (they were supposed to pick up both but couldnt get one started) for 750, so I was expecting around 900 because I had it declared inoperable because I didn't want to take the chance of it not being picked up, but it looks like carriers are getting greedy because MC actually lowered their fee to keep my price under one thousand to try to keep me happy because the price they quoted me wasn't movingthe car. What did get it over one thousand though was towing that I got hit with in the end, even though Greg told me that the carrier should know that towing may be needed to get the car to where the truck can get to. Also, Greg posted that the car would roll to the street. It will, if there are people there to push it and I told Greg explicitly, "do not expect me to be able to do anything to help. the carrier needs to have all the resouces to move my car. I am in California and I can't ask my realtor to help push my car who knows where". I told him exactly how things were, that it was behind the house and the driveway was steep and narrow, and that the road is a busy one with a median after 2 lanes. Apparently none of this was told to the carrier because he got there and immediately ordered a tow truck without asking since he was planning on making me pay for it, and told my more physically able contact to not come because he ordered the truck already. In the end, because of a bunch miscommunication between companies, I got stuck with the towing bill, which is the only reason Magic Carpet gets 4 not 5 stars from me. The carrier would get less because they pissed me off, but this review is for Magic Carpet. I'm not sure what to put as the answer to being compensated or not because posting a review, not necessarily a 5-star, is a requirement for a rebate, and MC asked to not check it so I'll just say that here instead of checking the box because I think it is worth mentioning...
