I was moving back home to Washington state from Florida and had more cars to move than I could drive or tow. This was my first experience at shipping an auto so I was somewhat apprehensive.

I chose Magic Carpet from the internet primarily based on ratings, I guess, as I had no other recommendations to go on. Annie was my contact and seemed quite knowledgable and helpful; she kept in touch as needed to let me know what was going on.

Overall, it worked out well. I had the car (nearly new VW Rabbit) shipped to my new employer with an agreement for the employer to pay the COD cost. The shipper picked up the car a couple days earlier than initially scheduled and delivered two days earlier than scheduled. The car beat me to Washington so was waiting at my employer's location when I arrived. The car was a bit dirty, as might be expected since I chose the open trailer, but no worse than if I had driven it (much snow across the mountains).

The cost was not much more than it would have cost me to drive the car, but did not add any miles to it. I would be much more comfortable about shipping a car the next time.
