I used this company because it had great reviews on transportreviews.com. I talked with Hillary and she gave me a quote upfront. She also explained the process of how my payment would be held in a paypal escrow until my car has been loaded on a truck.
Once I confirmed the order, she sent me an acknowledgement immediately. On my request, she also emailed me an image of the paypal invoice.
She was flexible and tried to accomodate my request for a pick up closer to my date of departure.
She called me again to inform me that she had found a carrier for me and that a driver would pick up the vehicle on the appointed day.
I called her about five days before the scheduled pick up and she assured me things were in order. That relaxed me.
On the day of pick up, I called Hillary again in the morning to remind her. She said she would get in touch with the carrier and let me know about the possible time for pick up. She called me two hours later and said the carrier is still trying to connect with the driver and offered to rebook. She did say the delay wasn't Magic Carpet's fault. But I reminded her that I was paying a $279 fee to Magic Carpet and expect the company to do the job it promised.
I insisted that I need to have my vehicle picked up the same day or at the most a day later. She told me she would do whatever she can to help me. Later she called again to say that I would hear from the carrier company soon. I also got text messages from Magic Carpet to call them in case I ran into problems.
I did hear from the carrier in the next few hours, and the representative agreed to dispatch a driver to pick up my vehicle. An hour later, I heard from the driver, who told me he was on his way. He called me again when he reached closer to my apartment for the pick up. The driver was very courteous and assured me that I would get my vehicle in about 7 to 10 days.
I got it in seven days. It was in perfect condition.
