Price/ Delivery Inconsistency

1. The quote was based on transportation from central Florida to central Alaska(on road system). Documentation by emails indicated that delivery to the destination was the central Alaska location. The vehicle arrived at the port of Anchorage and we were informed that delivery to the central Alaska location was not part of the contract. The cost of transport to the central Alaska location, which is over 400 miles away, is approximately $300.
2. The orginal quote varied from $2,039.00 to $2,536.00 (after rebate), but the actual amount paid was $2633.88 before rebate. Even with the $50 rebate, there is a $47.88 in Magic Carpet's favor.
3. Though the agent sounded very competent on the phone, she obviously knows little about Alaska, and even admitted to this lack of knowledge, based on a phone conversation. She did not respond to my emails, in many cases (particulary about the price difference). The issue concerning the transport from Anchorage to the central Alaska location is still not resolved.

Gail, I am sorry for the miscommunication we had on this order. I made it clear on order placing that we were getting the vehicle on a carrier from FL to WA port and then on a vessel to Anchorage, AK. That is the only destination we discussed at order placing. As for the price, it states in our terms and conditions that there is a 3% processing fee through our credit card processor and that would account for the $47 dollar difference in price you are referring to. So we did not get that extra money by any means. I also talked to your daughter Vianne about this and the breakdown of pricing at which time she was very satisfied with our services and our phone conversation. I am sorry you feel bad about all of this.
