The entire experience was very unpleasant. I wish we would have known at the beginning that there are no guarantees with anything! One must plan to ship a car with no expectations about pick up and delivery dates.
The trucker, while not on time, was actually honest about his schedule, and a nice guy to talk with. I felt like my car was at least in good hands. It was easier to deal with him directly than through a third-party.
I hope I don't have to transport another car anytime soon!
