Overall the customer service was pretty good, minus a few minor issues. In the beginning I hadn't heard any word on my car for 2 weeks, and I called the company several times to get information as to when my car would be picked up from the CA port and to get an estimate on when I would receive my car in Texas. After calling them I was told I hadn't received an update because they were having difficulties finding a driver to pick up my car from the CA port to transport it to Texas; at this time was when I was told I would be responsible for port fees, each day it sat at the CA port awaiting pick up. This is something I was totally unaware of, and thought this should have been made clear from the beginning, that this was a possibility. The company then called me back to tell me they could find a driver to pick up my car from CA, but I would have to pay $150 more. This is also something I did not know was a possibility, them increasing the amount I would be paying for shipping. Apparenly the price you are told is only a "quote," not necessarily the price you will be paying. I am aware this increase in price is based on the availability of trucks to ship the vehicles, and the extra amount was requested by the driver, not Magic Carpet Auto. However, I should have been aware that an increase in price was a possibility, or maybe they shouldn't quote such a low price if they know it will be difficult to find trucks to transport the vehicle at that price. Kathy worked hard to find a driver to transport my car, and was able to find one (for the extra $150) to pick up my car sooner than I thought, and my car was delivered to me three days later. After these few glitches passed, Kathy and the company were very helpful and updated me along the way to make sure the shipment went smoothly. I probably would not use this company again if I ever had to ship a car, just because there were a few glitches and trust issues.. I felt the company wasn't completely open about some things, as I've explained here, which blind-sided me. I understand the business is tough, and I do think they do the best they can for their business, not necessarily the customer.

Amanda, Sorry you have to end up paying a little more, but like I said before quotes are only good for 30 days. I got the car pick up before port charges acured.
