I did not realize that Magic Carpet is just a broker and they do not actually do the transport. In any event, it took some persistence on my part to get the pick up scheduled. I had told them that I was looking for a pick up on or about June 15 and I had originally contacted and contracted them at least 2 weeks prior to this date. Well 5 days before the pick up date was to occur I still had not heard from Magic Carpet, so I contacted them to find out if a transport had been scheduled. I was told that they were having trouble finding a transporter as they were looking for a pick up on June 15 itself. I had to then tell them that any couple of days before June 15 would work for the pick up and then the transport was arranged within 2-3 hours for June 14. I would have expected that if the company was having trouble setting up a pick up date that they would have contacted me and not the other way around. The transport service was good, they called to set up a pick up time and also called to set up a drop off time. Again though, the transport company has nothing to do with Magic Carpet. Magic Carpet it seems has little contact with the company as they have no idea if the cars have been picked up and/or dropped off since they needed to contact me to see if these things have happened. I may suggest that people do not use a broker for the transport, but instead go directly with a company that does it all as I think that the communication may be more seemless.
