Two Cars from WA to IA

I am just focusing on the areas of improvement (i.e. criticisms) below, I will say that the pricing was competitive and my number one objective besides a safe transport of my two cars…

1) I filled out the online form for two cars (denoting upfront the make and model), after calling up to understand next steps the price was increased $50 because of one of my cars was apparently larger than a normal size passenger car, you would think the online system would have provided the “correct” amount – FRUSTRATING; however, still cheaper than competitors

2) I placed my order two weeks in advance of hoping to have my cars picked up ~ figuring that would be more than enough time. It was two days before the requested pick up date and hadn’t heard anything from Magic Carpet. I called the company to find that my two cars weren’t being picked up because the route I selected wasn’t “popular” (not that I had any idea beforehand, perhaps there could be some disclosure on what routes are more popular than others and how long one might expect to be delayed given the current bids that are or are not being picked up). The options were to change the drop of location or pay more ~ VERY FRUSTRATING. I opted for changing the location; magically the cars were picked up in a couple hours.

3) My final price was increased another $50 which is apparently rebated back to me upon completion of this survey / feedback. I will probably guess this is somewhere in the extra fine print but it should also be disclosed up front in the actual quote - CONFUSING. Hopefully, I get the $50 back!

David I'm sorry you feel that you did not recieve a 5 star service from us. Many of the complaints that you have are related to you placing your order online. Typicall before a person places an order we have a chance to explain the process, the route, and the price. I let you know before we completed the order that moving large vehicles cost more money because they weigh more then smaller cars. I'm sorry that this was fustrating but we have to price things approprately or they don't move. As to complaints about the route. We were able to get both cars there in your time frame, however to do so we did have to get creative. This is not common, but, it did work. And about the rebate, of course you'll recieve a rebate!
