some issues when shipping to Hawaii

My car was to be shipped from Los Angeles, California to Maui, Hawaii. I didn't actually require a pickup seeing as how close I was to the port of Los Angeles. So I drove it there myself. I was told by my 3rd party agent that the car would arrive in Maui on May 28th and if anything it would actually get there sooner than that. The car ended up showing up on June 1st. I flew out there to pick it up and drop it off at our vacation house with the idea of a May 28th (or sooner) pickup. I ended up having to stay for Memorial Day weekend and it finally showed up that Tuesday. I don't believe it to be the fault of Magic Carpet but I do wish they would have told me that the date was very approximate and it could be later. If anything, they were overly optimistic. Apparently when shipping to Hawaii, the boats drop all cars off in Oahu (Honolulu) and then wait for another ship to bring them to the other islands and these ships run very odd schedules. Anyway, it wasn't a terrible experience, but did inconvenience me not to have a car for those 4 days when I expected to have it. Aside from that, my agent was quick to respond to calls and emails and very professional.

Thanks Max for the review. I wish you would have told me that the delivery did not come in on time. When I called the port to ask if it was on time I was told it was coming in on time. Sorry for any inconvenience, Best Wishes, Trevon
