Not very Honest...

I purchased my Odyssey through E-Bay on Jan 18th. I originally selected MAGIC CARPET AUTO Transport to move it from New York to New Mexico. They were friendly enough but were never able to find someone to pick it up. They kept saying that New Mexico was a tough place to deliver to. I kept telling them that I-40 through New Mexico was pretty much the main thoroughfare to California and EVERYTHING goes through here (Remember Route 66?)

Basically, the truth was that their price was too low to entice any drivers to pick it up because they kept too big a share of it as a deposit for themselves. Of course, they were not able to tell me this and were waiting to surprise me with a rate increase after I waited some more I guess.

Anyway, after two weeks, I went back to the reviews and decided to go with an auto transport company that doesn't pay customers to give positive comments. I selected PHOENIX AUTO TRANSPORT SERVICES. Jim answered the phone, gave me the low down on why my vehicle was not being picked up, and said he could do better and his deposit was alot smaller which meant more $$ for the driver. I terminated my agreement with MAGIC CARPET (Choose someone who will not charge your card until the vehicle is picked up) and set things up with Jim. We did have some hiccups with trucks that fell through for seemingly made-up reasons but Jim worked hard to find a driver for me. Eventually, he did and they were very courteous and professional. I got my van delivered in excellent condition. (dirty as heck but the snowstorms back East were pretty hefty that week.)

I think I would still be waiting if I used MAGIC CARPET.....

Thanks Jim, I would use PHOENIX AUTO again, definitely!

And it didn't take a $50 bribe to get me to write this review.....
