I am in the military and have shipped my vehicle before. The last company I went with was horrible customer service. They were hard to get a hold of and changed previous quoted prices on me. So this time I tried to do my homework. I found Magic Carpet Auto Transport on Transport Reviews and thought that maybe I'd try them out due to some high reviews and more than a few satisfied customers. I was expecting more. For example: I made the order for my vehicle to be picked up 16 days (more than 2 weeks) prior than my actual "available for pick-up" date. I understand that Truck routes change and I wasn't expecting my vehicle to be picked up on the first day it was available. But when I called on my first available pick-up date to see what the status was my account rep was busy, I spoke to another lady and she said that a truck hadn't even been assigned yet to pick my vehicle up!! I mean come on, I'm in the Logistics career field and I understand that things take time but Magic Carpet Auto had more than sufficient time to set this up. That was the first snag in the operation. I kindly asked if they'd get on it and I was told they would try. I let 3 days pass hoping I'd get a call saying they had a truck assigned finally, but when they hadn’t called me I decided to call again. I was told by my rep Kathy Ashlock that these things take time. I felt from the way she spoke to me that she didn't seemed too concerned with my situation. I understood that but was really growing impatient being that they had so much time from the time I made my order and by my available pick-up date they still hadn’t even ordered the truck!! FINALLY 6 days after my “available pick-up” date a truck driver had called and was ready to pick up my vehicle. It took 2 days for transport which was very good and had made me feel better. But when I had to pay the driver the remainder balance it didn’t add up based off of the total amount quoted to me and my deposit that was paid already. I paid the trucker because it’s not his fault that the price was wrong assuming that my rep Kathy Ashlock would help me fix this issue. When I called to clarify the total amount I actually paid and what I was quoted, I got somewhat of an attitude from Kathy almost like she was tired of my phone calls. She informed me that Magic Carpet had paid the truckers more to get my vehicle delivered faster (I guess to make up for being 6 days late picking it up) and some how I ended up paying the difference by accident because someone at Magic Carpet messed up? That was very good customer service to have had paid out of there pocket more money to expedite that process if I had not had to pay the difference out of my own pocket!! I paid a total of $660.30 when I was originally quoted $610.00. Another side note, I wish Magic Carpet had also informed me about processing fees $6.13. I read terms and conditions and found nothing of processing fees. I don’t have problems paying “processing fees” however when they are not revealed prior to service or outlined in terms and conditions I consider those “processing fees” to be “hidden fees/charges” which in my opinion is “dishonest.” I am in the process of waiting for my $50 that I overpaid to be credited back to my account. I hope I don’t have problems getting that back, I hope it comes in a timely manner. Overall, Magic Carpet’s customer service was average and in my opinion not worth they’re 5 Star rating!! I will be shipping my vehicle again but will try my luck with another company.

Armando, Sorry you feel this way. I tried my best to get your vehicle picked up on your ready date but we are at the mercy of the carrier and the route they decide to take, I even went as far as to put our money to the truck in hopes that would get it pick up and never asked for it back. It was an acct mistake they took out the full amout which was already refunded to you.
