...But overall I was fairly satisfied. They were friendly to deal with on the phone. Their website made it fairly easy to get a quote and set up the order. The estimate of 7 days they gave for when they would find a carrier was a bit optimistic. It ended up taking 15. The estimate they gave for shipping time was also pretty inaccurate. However, I think these kinds of delays are fairly typical of the auto transport business. They also chose to renegotiate the price once they found me a carrier. They said the driver was asking for more money. I agreed because the car was already late and I wanted to avoid further delays, but I would have liked to have seen some sort of compensation from magic carpet to account for their inaccurate price quote. Still, the car arrived in good condition. I suppose I would use them again, because I am not certain that things would have been different with another carrier. Shipping a car is a haphazard affair, and magic carpet handled it fairly well.
