Magic Carpet didn't fly well

Our first time using any type of auto transport service. We tried to get a car moved from Vermont to Arizona. Our Agent, Stephanie, was very helpful and easy to reach via phone and email. She was professional, courteous and a pleasure to deal with. However, after 15 days of waiting for a truck service to contact us, we contacted Magic Carpet and was told they couldn't find anyone to come get the car in out-of-the-way Vermont. They wanted to raise the price 50 bucks to see if that would generate more interest. It didn't. I called back and asked if WE could move the car to my brothers house in Western New York state closer to a major interstate for pick up to then have the car transported to Arizona. This worked great. My wife and I took a day off of work to move our car 360 miles closer to the end destination and put it minutes off interstate 90. The ONLY price break Magic Carpet gave us was to take off the 50 dollars that they had added to our original quote! So while the folks were easy to work with, they weren't as fair and balanced as you would expect in a reputable business. I will submit another separate review for the trucking firm, but it is important to note that 97 miles were put on the odometer of the car while out of our possession.
