Honest, friendly, but not good on the logistics.

Most importantly, my car made it to the destination in great shape in exactly 7 days from pickup. The belongings I shipped in the trunk arrived intact. However, the pickup date was two days later than scheduled which was somewhat inconvenient. I recommend calibrating your expectations for a multi-day delay.

Magic Carpet was very responsive in scheduling my reservations with the carrier (pioneer) but once they sent me a schedule they basically had no idea when the carrier was going to pick up my car. It was totally out of their hands at that point so I ended up doing a lot of scheduling and rescheduling with the carrier and the driver himself. In sum, Magic Carpet answered my calls promptly but didn't or couldn't provide me with the scheduling information I needed.

I had to drop off my car at a convenient place for the driver and pick it up at the Pioneer transit station (about 15 miles from my house). This was fine, but wasn't what I expected, since the service was advertised as "door to door."

Magic carpet provided an honest and friendly interface but they didn't handle the logistics and I had to do a lot of it myself.
