Overall broker service (Magic Carpet Auto Transport) was very good. They scheduled time for pick up and drop off as agreed. They were very helpful with all their customer service. On the other hand K&L Transport which actually picked up my vehicle, upon dropping it off, car was covered in thick dirt. I couldn't see in what condition my car was and if I wanted my car, I had to sign release form. After doing that I went to car wash and after it noticed that my hood was all damaged maybe from stones or hale hitting it during transpot.
I contacted Magic Carpet and they were helpful to give me all the info who to contact from K&L Transport freight. One thing that nobody told me is after you schedule a job with Magic Carpet Transport actual freight company that picks up your vehicle has separate statue of responsibilities toward you and it is written on the back of the form you sign when they pick up your vehicle.
Nobody tells you that at any point. My story ended by me contacting K&L Transport for fixing my car and their statue of responsibility is in the way that literary even if their driver has a car accident with his semi while my car on the trailor and my car gets damaged they are not responsible for anything. Kinda ridiculous.
Make sure when you are using a service to ask all questions and do not accept your vehicle if its dirty till they clean it so you can inspect it for any damage.
I had to use my insurance to fix damages. I think that Magic Carpet Auto Transport should be more upfront about that they are just broker and that the freight company has separate statue of damages so you dont think that Magic Carpet Auto Transport will take care of things when they go bad but that you pretty much on your own.
