I obtained a quote for $775.00; my issues were not with Magic Transport but with the carrier that actually shipped the vehicle. The carrier was SMT Inc. The first issue was that the driver for the carrier did a poor job of keeping us informed on the pickup and delivery. The driver would call and give us a time but never update us if he was running late or not coming. Stephanie at Magic Carpet was very helpful and offered to contact the driver with a three way call to find out why.

The second issue was that when the car was delivered the gas had been siphoned out of the tank and it arrived empty. The car was on the bottom of an open carrier when delivered.
I realize anyone could have siphoned the gas. Neither the carrier or the broker did anything about that. I would advise people shipping a vehicle to put a gas lock on or ship it almost empty.

I have shipped a car several times and can tell you that if transport is on an open carrier the exterior of the car will be dirty when it arrives; that is to be expected.

I think Magic Carpet did a great job of brokering the transport; I was not impressed with SMT Inc. and would not use them again.
