I got a job in Boston, MA and after three drives across the country and the last thing I wanted to do was make another trip. It was my first time shipping my car and I did not know where to start. I literally typed in the google search bar car transportation and was overwhelmed by all the sites that popped up. Many sites asked me to provide them with all sorts of info so that I could receive a quote. I did just that and was bombarded with calls and emails from brokers who wanted me to choose them. I was essentially going at this blind. I called a handful of these brokers and was taken back by how weird, shady, and unresponsive they were. It definitely made me rethink my decision to ship my car. Thankfully, I came across Transportation Review. The site allowed me to search for carriers based on a variety of criteria which was exactly what I needed. I called up Magic Carpet Auto Transport based on their great ratings and feedback and never had to call another carrier.

Malia, a rep at Magic Carpet Auto Transport, was amazing! She explained the whole car shipping process from beginning to end and made me feel so at ease. She was very real and answered every single questions I had. We must've been on the phone with her for at least two hours but in the end she told me exactly what I needed to hear. She even gave me the inside scoop on some of the sketchy places I initially contacted. And after I looked them up on Transportation Review, she was right. Anyway, I went with Magic Carpet Auto. I put a deposit down and a driver was found 24 hrs after I placed the order. My car was picked up on the date I requested and pictures were taken before it was hauled away. My car arrived in one piece and in the same condition I left it in. I paid the driver what was owed to him in cash (they do not take checks) and took back my car. Magic Carpet Auto Transport delivered as promised and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to ship their car.

Things to keep in mind:

The drivers and brokers do not work together. The brokers use some sort of system where they post bids (your quote). The drivers own their trucks and go with the quote that works for them. The higher the quote, the more likely your car will be picked up when you want it to.

You will not hear from your driver until the day of the pick-up. Magic Carpet Auto Transport however, will touch base with the driver at your convenience. The driver will call about an hour before they are to arrive at your destination.

You know you're getting scammed when you're asked to pay for the whole transportation in full.

Be sure that you're car will be on route to it's destination as soon as it's picked up. Some companies will let it sit in a random lot unattended until a truck becomes available to take it. Meanwhile, you think you're car is actually on it's way.

Most importantly, listen to you gut.

I hope this review has helped you. Good luck in your search.
