Great Driver, Less than Satisfactory Cust Service

I was encouraged by Magic Carpet's positive ratings, and the service they delivered was perfectly fine - vehicle was picked up promptly, driver was extremely pleasant, and vehicle was delivered in perfect condition. My main complaint was the "service" I received from Magic Carpet's customer service reps.

It seemed to me that after they got my money and assigned a driver, they thought their job was done. When I called to tell them they completely gaffed the pickup contact's name on the order form, they told me that didn't matter. I was concerned that the driver was picking up a vehicle at an enormous auto complex (20+ individual dealers in one location), and that not having the right contact person would likely cause confusion when the driver arrived. Instead of just dealing with it and fixing it, the customer service rep was emphatic that it didn't matter, and insisted that there was nothing that could be done about it. She also refused to give me the drivers name or contact #, insisting he would call me if he needed me. This caused me frustration and anxiety. Handing over the keys of a new vehicle to a nameless, faceless person nervewracking enough, I didn't really need any more reasons to worry. When I asked to speak to the manager, she said, "Terrry wouldn't talk to you."

Though everything turned out fine, I am ticked enough to not use them again. I paid a premium for Magic Carpet over others, and I therefore expected to receive premium service. Customer Service was a C-. Driver was an A+.
