Magic Carpet (Broker) and their representative, Crystal, did a fine job for me, but they were let down by the carrier they hired to get my car from the ship drop-off point in Florida to Houston, TX.

That carrier decided to wait until after the Memorial Day holiday before starting out on the road, despite having picked-up the car four days before the holiday.

The carrier was difficult to contact and somewhere along the line, the 1/4 tank of gas I had in the car had all been driven out, which means the car had been driven at least 50 miles. I suspect the carrier used it to run errands while it was in their possession for the 4 days they were not on the road with it. I had to go straight to a gas station and fill up.

I would use Magic Carpet again and might even use the carrier (Butler Auto Transport), provided there were no holidays in the middle of the schedule. Butler did call me early-onto tell me that they were going to deliver after the scheduled date (which was Memorial Day), but they led me to believe it would be the day after, not 3 days after. And they were very late with the second phone call.

I thought Crystal was outstanding and fun to deal with and just gave me great service.

Lots of pluses and a few minuses. None of the minuses were Magic Carpet's fault.

It would be nice for the Brokers to charge about $12 more and instruct the carrier to wash the car before delivery so that the body can be properly inspected. It would be a service that would delight the customer, so why not do it? It would take the driver 1/2 hour to run each car through the car wash. Why not take service to the next level?
