Good broker- bad carrier

The customer service of Magic Carpet was good- they helped me find a carrier quickly at a reasonable rate. Unfortunately the carrier they chose, Speed Auto Transport Inc in Tucson, AZ, was terrible. (I have written a separate review for them in detail). They were hard to reach and failed to keep me notified (both the drivers and manager), and when they were late in their delivery they gave no apologies- only excuses (and even demanded a tip!) In short, their customer service was ABHORRENT.

Throughout this ordeal, Magic Carpet customer service helped me try to get in contact of the carrier. Although I appreciated that they tried to make the process smoother, and wanted to give them a five star review, I couldn't. Although the actions of the carrier is not in the hands of the broker, they are partially responsible for doing business with such a poor company. In the letter from the president quoted on this transport review page, they state "We meticulously screen and police our drivers and trucking companies and try to work with only the best, reliable, and well insured carriers available." Well, Magic Carpet should reconsider working with Speed Auto Transport Inc since they clearly do not reflect their company's commitment to good customer service. And to anybody dealing with any broker company, don't make the same mistake I did and make sure you research the carrier company as well! They are the ones doing the actual transporting of your car!

I am so sorry they were not on top of their customer service. Reviews on our carriers really help us pick the bad ones out so we do not use them again.
