Double Charged Broker Fee Without Notice

This company promotes ratings inflation. You are told that if you provide a 5 star review on this website you will be entered into a raffle to cover the cost of your vehicle transport. I am telling you this because it is really important that future users see where many of the five star reviews are coming from.

My vehicle was shipped from Anchorage, Alaska to San Antonio, Texas. Pretty much right after the 1360$ was taken out for the shipment from the Anchorage port to the Seattle port I was left in the dirt for information. It was only after I had unsuccessfully called my broker's number about 4 times a few days after the port drop off date that I called a different line at magic carpet and found she had transferred to a different department apparently without transferring my order to another broker to keep me apprised. After I obtained a good contact number, I was told the wrong drop off date for my vehicle by magic carpet, more than once. At first it was scheduled to be the 31st of March, but after late arrival in the port it was supposed to be April 1st, and then it changed to the 3rd of April, and then finally the 4th. I decided instead to call the driver after having the dates change so much and he informed me that it would be Saturday the 6th; there were no driver delays, this was the scheduled drop off date and had been for a week. I understand that Magic Carpet has no control over driver delay's but they do have control over the information they provide their customers and they have control over keeping their customers informed. With all this said, I want you to know that the staff at Magic Carpet was all polite and genuine, and my vehicle did arrive safe, but if you are expecting to be apprised of what's going on in your vehicle transport, you will be sadly let down.

The icing on the cake for this experience was a double charging for the broker's fee. They took another 400$ out of my checking account without calling or informing me about it. I had to call them 3 times to have this issue resolved and 14 days later I have yet to get the money back.
