Having not used a shipping company before, I used Transport reviews to help me pick a company. My experience on the internet tells me if you throw out the most positive and the most negative reviews you will get a reasonable sense of the product your are researching. The first company I picked Amerifreight was the most competitive bid but I could not get any headway on getting the car shipped. The Contact person kept stalling and providing different excuses for why my car was not getting picked up. I decided to call another company, Magic Carpet Auto just to use them as a sounding board. So glad I did!!. What a difference in customer service. They explained that shipping the car to South lake Tahoe presented challenges. Truckers don't to go there because of the mountains and it's lack of proximity to major highways. They suggested, that if possible I choose a town nearby such as Carson Cityor Reno. They also double checked how the first trucking company had posted my bid for the trucking companies and found mistakes. Needless to say, I cancelled with the first company and went with Magic Carptet. My car was picked up as promised, delievered on time and with no damage and my daughter was really happy. I would highly recommend Magic Carpet but make sure you ask as many questions up front as posssible so you experience is a good one.
