I called Magic Carpet to get my '87 Cadillac transported from a storage facility in Seattle, WA to Mountain Home, ID. Jeff was a great help in finding a transporter two times. The first company that Jeff put me in contact with accepted the order through Magic Carpet and then on the day of pick-up Jeff called me and told me that the company claimed they never accepted the order. His constant phone calls and updates were very helpful and very reassuring. He found another company to pick up my vehicle a few days later and it was delivered. My car was supposed to be dropped off at 6pm but did not arrive until 10. I can fully understand the delay with possible traffic or whatever. I took my vehicle to the GM dealer the next day to have it inspected and to get the oil changed. That's when I noticed the grille was broken. I called Jeff and was instructed to call the transporter to file a claim. Of course the driver claims that it was not his fault and blamed the Vehicle Processing Center (VPC). The VPC says the driver signed for the vehicle with no defects. I understand that Magic Carpet has no responsibility when it comes to the condition of vehicle or the company that actually picks up the vehicles, but is it too much to ask that when I have a vehicle transported that I expect it in the same condition as when I turned it in?
