I had contacted a different company about two weeks prior to the pickup date. I found that this other company had good reviews on transportreviews.com so I decided to use them. They quoted me a great price, and did not require any money down, however after that first phone call I had to call them to find out more information.

It was finally Monday, two days prior to my move and I finally got through with the other carrier and they told me I would have to pick up my car in a city that is over 75 miles away because of the price. I didn't like that idea for several reasons one is that I was going to have my car delivered to a friend. Regardless I gave up with the other company after several days of frustration and called Casey Monday afternoon requesting a pickup date of Wednesday. Casey explained why he thought I was having trouble with the other company and quoted me a different price, it was higher, but he explained why. Customer service through the whole process was excellent. There is one important thing to keep in mind with using a company like Magic Carpet to ship a vehicle. There is a "servicer" fee that was around $230 on top of the carrier fee (I don't know if this is a fixed rate). It is understandable why it is charged, just understand that it is on top of the carrier rate, so in total I paid over 1400 dollars (and they request it up front, which can be paid by credit card). There are cheaper ways to transport a car, for example if I wanted deal with the carrier directly, but if you are interested in using a company with knowledge of the carriers and who can make the experience easy since they do all the work then I highly recommend the company. It may cost a bit more, but, not to sound lazy, all I had to do was place a phone call and Casey took care of the rest rather than me having to spend hours researching whether the carriers were trustworthy etc. and not understanding the industry. Casey also called several times to ensure everything was going smoothly and that the car was picked up and delivered on time. If you want a smooth easy experience from start to finish call Casey.
