Pretty Hands Off

In picking the top rated company, I had higher expectations of service. Once a carrier was identified, I was pretty much on my own contacting and working with the carrier for pick-up, tracking, and delivery.

BAD:
When I voiced concerns over the carrier selected (based on reviews on this web site) I was told that there's a different group within the company that handles evaluations and that these guys were top notch. Digging into the carrier a bit more, it was pretty easy to discover that the company has changed names a 2-3 times over the past several years and their new company is 4 months old.

The company on the bill of lading is the company evaluated on this web site, whose MC number is no longer active. This is not the same company/dispatcher I talked with to set this up. So there's something going on I don't quite understand, but I got my car.

GOOD:
The carrier company not sure of the actual name, did an excellent job of making this work. They handled the 5 day delay in picking up the car by having it towed to a storage site for pick-up when their driver got delayed. The got it all the way cross country in 3 days and I had it in 5. I have nothing but good things to say about them.

I wish Magic Carpet had provided a bit more for their cut. The only calls I got from them were when can we bill.

They weren't horrible, but I'd probably try someone else next time because I wasn't blown away by their service.

*GREG* 360-553-4223 or greg@magiccarpetautotransport.com Hey Chris! I appreciate the feedback. After reading your review I have taken the time to dig into finding out more about what you were explaining and it looks as though the carrier we contracted with had changed name a few times. And although i'm not %100 sure about the reasons i'm glad to hear that you have nothing but praise about our choice in carrier. As far as the communication after the carrier picks up, it's honestly more convenient for the carrier to communicate directly with the customer to work out the pickup and delivery details. One less person to miss a call or drop the ball. I hope that's something we can all agree on. I hope that in the future you'll give us a second consideration. :) Thanks again. Best, Greg Greg
