Our agreement with Magic Carpet was for them to pick up our vehicle on September 12, 2007. A person named Dave picked up the vehicle from a friend's business, on October 4, 2007 (We had sold our home and moved out of state to where our vehicle was to be delivered.). On October 15, 2007 Dave called me to try to scam $900. more from me. He claimed that if he did not transport our vehicle there was possibilities that it could be damaged, that Magic Carpet owed him money for his service, etc.. He had numerous bad things to say about Magic Carpet. When they were called they had numerous bad things to say about him. It strongly appears that we were be worked between them for the extra $900. he was asking for. I told him that I had already paid Magic Carpet and that is all that they were getting. Our vehicle was to be picked up at our residence, delivered to Ocean View, Hawaii in "seven to ten days" after the September 12, 2007 pick up date. Our vehicle was not picked up at our residence, was not delivered to Ocean View, Hawaii and was delivered to Hilo, Hawaii on December 5, 2007 (75 days late at that point). Deliverly was refused by Magic Carpet and Matson. The agreed upon price was $1740. When I received my charge card statement it stated that we were charged $1792.20. This agreement was made and paid for with Barbara Sherry, on August 1, 2007. I insisted on August 1, 2007, that we be emailed a invoice stating the terms that we agreed to and that I paid for. It took several more phone calls to receive an invoice that was not close to what we had agreed upon and what I paid for. Examples - Our town pick up name was spelled Leona, instead of Laona. How could someone pick up our vehicle if he/she did not know the correct town to pick it up in. I believe that Magic Carpet also submits errors to cover future wrong doings. It stated our vehicle ready date was 8/12/2007 instead of the pick up date of September 12, 2007. It stated that our deposit was 259 and the balance was 1491 (i.e. balance due on delivery). It took several more emails and phone calls to get a partial correction to this invoice. When we picked up our vehicle our property in the trunk was missing. Mason Transport says Dave took it. He says that they took it. We have asked the Long Beach, California Police Department to investigate this. About twenty calls and numerous emails have been sent to Magic Carpet. Owner Terry Williams was contacted. He was more interested in getting over on me then correcting what his employees were doing or the contracted Dave. Manager Crystal and I talked numerous time. While transporter Dave was holding our vehicle in Illinois or Michigan, she baited me into asking for our money back. Again, I insisted in getting what we agreed upon (Barbara Sherry and I) and I paid for. In order that others do not get burned like we did I will be going further to try to prevent this.

Dave at MY CAR TRANSPORT DID NOT try to scam this client out of anything. Dave was insisting on being paid before delivery. When we told him that wasn't going to happen he tried to get it from the client and the client had already paid. Steven was told this before he posted this slanderous pack of lies. Against our better judgment and because this client insisted we paid the truck Via bank wire the next day. As expected the truck took the money and then it took seven weeks from the time it took the money to deliver the car, however that is what the client wanted us to do. In our terms and conditions it clearly states that all off shore loads are paid in advance so if Steven would have read them he would not be complaining. EVERY single thing he has taken issue with us about are clearly covered in the terms and conditions the client agreed to. Dave at my car is an idiot and none of the 5 brokerage that I am involved with will EVER give them freight again.
