Magic Carport transported my Land Rover from Baltimore, MD to Phoenix, AZ, and I was extremely disappointing with the service. I do not recommend the service due to the poor service I received.

First, my vehicle was scheduled for a pickup on Nov.12 and was not pickup until Nov. 16. Then, the company informed me that my vehicle would be delivery on Nov. 22, before the holiday. I did not receive my vehicle until Nov. 29 at 1:45 am. Note: I’m a single woman was a 3 month old, infant child who had to get out of my bed to accept a delivery at night! The driver called me at 4:00 pm asking for direction to my house and told be he would be in shortly—After 9 pm I went to bed and said, another no show date. To my surprise, I received a call that the driver was waiting for me outside. So, I had to get up out of my bed, get dress and meet a driver, half a sleep for a cash payment for my truck. Also, my vehicle was covered in dirt (over two weeks of sitting on an open carrier) and the battery was low, and it had some tree limb scratches. The explanation for the delay was the Thanksgiving Holiday, which one day event. I was told the driver took some time off. I’m assuming his family lived in CA, because the driver told me had been their for about a week. So…..you just past up AZ (I’ve been in AZ since Nov. 18th) and took my vehicle to your house for Thanksgiving? He said that he was in CA for about 4 days. To make things worst, Magic Carpet would call and say, "how was the delivery of your Land Rover?" I said, what delivery? Should I report it stolen! If you don’t know where my truck is located….it’s suppose to be with your driver who should have delivered it to me three days ago.

In addition, my home furnishing which were picked up after my vehicle was delivered made it to AZ before the delivery of my vehicle. In the future, I use a company like Mayflower who offered to move the vehicle for an additional $300.00 with my furniture on the same truck.

Note: I spent an additional $450.00 in rental car fees, because my vehicle was picked up late and returned late. Sadly, I was not compensated for the inconvenience. Magic Carpet told me that nothing could be done and I should call another company, JMT Transporter. This company was unable to provide me any comforter or relief from this ordeal. Lastly, the driver did apologize for going to CA and not giving me my vehicle sooner. What about an apologize for getting me up in the middle of the night…

For all of our competitors out there who reads this, I don't have to explain to you how ridiculous this complaint is. To our valued clients, please read the terms and conditions before choosing a carrier, it might save you some grief, or unrealistic expectations in getting a car moved. EVERY single item that this UNHAPPY Client is complaining about is covered in our terms and conditions...... except the part about her car being dirty??? Anyone with half, ... no, a quarter of a brain could figure out that a car which travels over two thousand miles on an open car carrier is going to get dirty. The complaint that the car was four days late is crazy. A typical run from the northeast to the southwest is 10-14 days. When the Truck provides us with an estimated date of delivery, it’s just that... ESTIMATED. Shaylean kept in very close contact with the client just like she does with all of her clients. I really question this client’s intelligence, I am not sure she can read. NO ONE in this industry offers a rental car for clients, unless they pay for a guaranteed pick up or delivery. This client paid for standard open carrier service and is trying to get more than she agreed to and more importantly what she paid for. We have forwarded a copy of this slanderous review and a copy of the terms and conditions this client agreed to, to our company council for review. Clients who lie and slander should be held to the same high standard they want to hold us to.
