My First Cross Country Auto Move

I had to move my uncle's car from Southern California to my home in Wisconsin, and I was up against the Thanksgiving holiday time crunch.

The first company I called never answered their phone.

The message I got at the second company I called was that the phone line was no longer in service.

I left a message at a third company, and they never returned my call.

My fourth phone call was to Magic Carpet Auto Transport. Stephanie answered my call. I told her I had never done this before and would need her to walk me through the process. That's just what she did. She was very up front about the price and timeline.

There was a hiccup involved in picking up the vehicle. It was scheduled to be picked up on Thursday afternoon, and it did not get picked up until Friday morning.

Michelle at Magic Carpet called at 6:00pm on Thursday to ask if my vehicle had been picked up. When I told her it had not yet been picked up, there didn't seem to be very much she could do about it at that time. As I said, Sam, the driver, picked up the vehicle at 7:30 am on Friday.

I spoke to Stephanie about the need for improved communication on that aspect of the move.

Other than that one hiccup, everything went very smoothly. The car was delivered to my mechanic's shop on Wednesday morning, the day before Thanksgiving, as promised.

I was very pleased with the whole experience. My uncle's car arrived on time and in one piece.

I thank Stephanie, Sheila, and Michelle at Magic Carpet, as well as Sam and Tonya at Nationwide Auto Transport, for taking such good care of me. I would ship cars with them again, and I would recommend them to others. In fact, I have recommended them to others. And so has my mechanic, who was impressed.
