poor communication

At first I was very happy with Magic Carpet but once I had written a check the only communication that I had with them was when I initiated it. The delivery from my house to the shipping yard was the most frustrating part. I was told that my truck would be picked up "next week" and transported to the ship yard. One month, and many phone calls later, I received a call from a truck driver who was picking up my vehicle. He was great. During the month that my truck sat on the street I received at least three e-mails stating that my truck was scheduled for pick-up. Each time I got that message another followed almost immediately cancelling the pick up. Very frustrating. I made a number of phone calls to Magic Carpet, never once reaching the same person and always having to explain who I was. Sometimes, the person talking to me would say things like "I don't know what is going on." I wanted a straight answer from the person who booked my shipment, Crystal Varnes. She was very nice at the start but very hard to get a hold of again. Had she just told me in the beginning how ground transportation works, I would have no problem my experience. Instead I had to prod and pry to get a straight answer.I feel as though the least amount of information was provided to me in order to make the sale. I went to the Better Business Bureau and found that quite a few people have had problems with this company.
I guess all is well that ends well as I now have my vehicle, but what a frustrating company to do business with.
