GREAT customer service, LOUSY car carrier

We had a positive experience using Magic Carpet and our customer service agent Sue Garrison was really great! She was honest, forthright, easy to reach at all times and very easy to communicate with, besides being professional and very personable. However, the car carrier we were assigned to was NOT great and I would never use them again. First off, the driver wanted $100 more than our initial quote to take the car from FL to NM; then he called us the night before pick-up wanting to take our vehicle and drive it himself to his truck in another town (not the door-to-door service we agreed to); he was hard to understand and rude; and then at destination basically held our car hostage: He said his truck was overheating and he WANTED US TO PICK UP THE CAR ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY (again, no door-to-door service) an 80-mile round-trip commute for us. He said that we either pick it up now, on side of highway, or wait some unknown period of time until his truck was repaired. His offer to refund $100 to us at time of pick-up was little consolation given the stress and out-of-pocket expenses this wild-goose chase entailed. I would use Magic Carpet again, but STAY CLEAR of MOLINA & SON AUTO TRANSPORT CH.
