I had my car shipped from Toronto to Calgary by MVS. I was told that the average time for that shipment is about 13 days. Dropped the car off on a Friday and was told it was shipped on Tuesday. I was notified that my car had arrived in Calgary the following Friday, so the whole process took two weeks; 14 days.

MVS quoted me at $1400 for a terminal-to-terminal, which was a little more than some other companies. However they allowed me to put personal possessions in the car (other than car-related items such as snow tires), which was something not allowed by most of their competitors. Since I needed these items, placing them in the car saved me the hassle and cost of shipping them via courier or postal service. Note that while your car itself is insured, anything you place in the car is not. That being said, my car and everything I put inside arrived in the exact same condition as when I dropped it off.

Should you use MVS? If you would like to ship items along with the car, then yes. If just the car, some other companies are a couple hundred dollars cheaper, so you'll need to decide for yourself.
