I must say I was very pleasantly surprised that things went VERY well. At first, I didn't understand the business model of shipment brokers or their process. Quite frankly, once I got my wife out of the loop and understood that the business model is "supply and demand" - you have something to be shipped and independent contractors may have room to ship it, for a price, on very short notice - everything went well. I didn't understand that at the beginning of the process and got nervous as we approached our desired pick-up deadline. However, the staff at M2Reeves was very patient with this novice and very helpful when explaining how things would work. And, in fact, things worked exactly how they said they would. The folks at M2Reeves know their business!! You can take some of the risk out of the "supply and demand" process but you have to pay more money. I didn't know that, but might have taken the risk anyway. I wound up paying a few bucks more than originally quoted but in the "supply and demand" world, I guess that should not be a big surprise - you have a deadline and there are independent contractors who have room and either like the price or offer an alternative proposal - take it or leave it - and then wait for the next supplier to fill your demand. The more advance notice you give and the more flexibility you have, the more you can demand. Having said all that, primarily for the next novice who might read this review, I rate M2Reeves very highly and would not hesitate to use them again. In fact, I will next March, when my truck makes the 3000 mile journey back to home base. I really get a good feeling that M2Reeves cares about the service they provide and only wants to contract with good providers, who will represent them well. I know I had a very good provider, both on the road and in the office. Thanks!
