I think it is important for buyers to beware, that although my dealings with lighthouse transport were professional, and excellent it is important to be aware of the local transportation agency in LA. The problem I had with my transportation was easily circumvented by being firm when they attempted to skim a little cash off the top from me. I had read about people floating a little extra cash at the pick up - and these people (reading their reviews) seemed unhappy about the fact about paying extra at pickup. When I dropped off my cars, after being informed by Lighthouse that it would be ok to put a little extra weight inside - but upon car pickup they stated they had to take $100 extra in order for the extra weight. When I assured them I had been told I could have extra weight in the cars, they said they had to double check - I waited 20 min for dispatch to call them back (and they never called back) and the local transport company Abraham Express stated - they would load the cars w/o the cash. So. I warn you - if someone asks for extra cash at the pickup - feel free to give them the extra cash if you want - but what they are doing is trying to take more money from you - which in my opinion is completely unfare, and taking advantage of unassuming independent people such as myself. Abraham Express - I was mildly impressed with, but Lighthouse Transport did everything they promised - provided me with the best rate, and my cars got to MA in less time than I was told. I suppose my only suggestion would be to potentially change local transport companies to Lighthouse - but - all in all - I was given everything I was offered - I am just thankful I did not pay the extra $100 as I could not afford it. I post this review in hopes of helping someone from being skimmed the extra hundo.
