After buying a collectable car in So. California, I had a flight home in three hours. In the rush I picked a transporter from an on-line quote service as the low bid, and left town (after paying a deposit). Upon getting home and pulling the transport contract off my fax machine (yes, not smart) I saw that it was for open transport and not enclosed as my bid request specified. I called the transport "broker" and was told that this sometimes happens and enclosed transport would be considerably more expensive (nearly twice). After hearing that, I went back to the quote service and asked again for quotes, but using assumed names. I did this twice and both times requested enclosed transport. Both times I received the same low bid from the same company for open transport. My telephone calls were never answered by the same person and they frustrated me to the point that I didn't want to trust them with my car. The deposit was non-refundable.
Then I found Camille Mihele at Level One Transport. I ended up with a cost of only slightly more than the previous low bid for open transport. With Level One Transport I always spoke with Camille Mihele and her personable service and willingness to expedite the transport left me with a feeling of trust. All of her promises were kept or surpassed and my Porsche was in my garage in eight days. The trucker Camille contracted picked up on time and called me each of the three nights he was on the road reporting his progress. I was pleasantly surprised that he was a one car, one trailer, one customer transporter.
Thank you again, Camille
