Damage to a Ferrari: Dishonest Transporter

These people are dishonest. The driver made good time en route but damaged my Ferrari, (front end spoiler damage, making an 8" horizontal crack in the fiberglass) I suppose from loading / unloading it while dropping other cars off in the process. I was not home when my wife accepted and signed the BOL so too bad for me. They (Dmitri) cleverly mark gibberish on the form so it's hard to distinguish prior damage such as paint chips and tiny cracks compared to say, someone busting the spoiler. My wife obviously would not know if the car was damaged before, during, or pre-existing. She simply had the driver put the car into the garage and signed the BOL.
When I came home four days later (from a business trip that is verifiable), I immediately discovered the front end damage. I called the Body Shop from where it came and that's when the owner of the shop sent me pics of the car being loaded onto Kwik Trans' trailer. The car obviously had no 8" crack in the spoiler. Then I made a call to Vitto at Kwik Trans who summed up their position, since my wife had signed the BOL too bad for me. Vitto said that they are not liable as I could have damaged it during those four days between when it was received and the time that I reported it. Vitto initially questioned his driver, Dmitri, who could not recall transporting my car. Really dude, a Ferrari??!! After 4 days, you don't recall having driven a Ferrari into someones' garage because their wife is too afraid to drive it!? Had these guys picked up the car on time, I would have had my car delivered when I needed it to, when I was home! Here is the take-away from this experience.
1. Kwik Trans has a dishonest driver. No one wants to damage a high end sports car but if you mess up, own it. They have no integrity or honor.
2. Do not use a broker, they wash their hands of pick up times, delivery times and in this case, half-a?? help out when something like this happens.
3. Pay a little more and hire a dedicated carrier.
4. Be home when it arrives. Make the carrier wait on you and do not accept the car until you can get home. Do not let your wife or anyone else sign for your Ferrari.
