I booked this move through a Broker (bluestar auto movers order # 454-688 - uw) and when the car got to me it was totaled! According to the driver, John King, he was driving under an overpass in his own hometown of Pennsylvania and smashed the roof of my 1964 Chevy Corvair on the overpass. Then he gave me this sob story about how his insurance is up in a few days and offered to waive the $425 cod fee if I would sign off on the car so his insurance doesn't go up. Like $425 is gonna cover a $10,000 car being completely totaled! The car was completely original, unrestored and in mint condition and now it's junk! Luckily I was smart enough not to sign off and to make sure the damage was noted on the bill of lading and when Blue-Star Auto Mover sent me a copy of his insurance form I found that his insurance policy isn't up for weeks! Imagine my shock, when I went to write this review, at finding another review with a very similar story! Apparently he is an extremely negligent driver and makes a habit of damaging cars and trying to get out of being responsible for it. As I booked through Bluestar I didn't know the name of the actual trucking company to look up the reviews before booking. I wish I had known this before. This poor beautiful car is completely wrecked! My husband is a truck driver and can't for the life of him figure out how this guy manages to wreck cars under an overpass like this, you have to be a complete idiot to smash an overpass in your own hometown.
