Didn't honor their word

I needed the car to be pick up as soon as possible.
They increased their quote by $100 to get a pick up date sooner than first quoted.
Once contract was signed, the promised pick up date was not respected.
They finally were able to pick the car up, but 5 days later (1 day after original quote at lower rate)
Of course no refund of the $100 difference.

On the good side, the carrier they selected was nice, and car was delivered quickly after pick up.

But the overall experience was very frustrating.
It might have been a difficult shipment, but they shouldn't offer something they can't honor.

I want to start by apologizing for the inconveniences we may have caused our customer. Unfortunately, from time to time there are situations that exceed our power and are beyond our control. The nation dealt with severe, extreme weather conditions, and the transport industry is always one of the most affected industries when it comes to adverse weather. There are some facts left unrepresented in this review, so here is a short timeline of events: Client Booked 2/3. Dispatched 2/3 (same day) to Lowemar Productions LLC. (load 2/4 deliver 2/6) Lowemar Productions LLC cancelled 2/4 (pickup date) due to weather conditions. Check the weather conditions for the pickup location on that day http://www.almanac.com/weather/history/zipcode/81637/2014-02-04 ) Dispatched 2/4 (same day) to James Provost. (load 2/5 deliver 2/11) .Client was happy about this. James Provost cancelled 2/5 due to weather conditions. Dispatched 2/5 (same day) to Ark Express LLC (load 2/8 and delivery 2/10) It was picked up 2/9 due to weather delays and delivered 2/11/2014. The $100 our customer makes reference to were not part of our original estimate, but based on weather conditions and customer's needs we recommended the increase PRIOR to book him, giving him the chance of refusing such offer and pick a different company. We did NOT raise our price on him in any way. The area received almost two feet of snow according to weather records. We strive for excellence in customer service and pride ourselves of having the fastest, most efficient pickup policies and practices in the industry. While we are well experienced in dealing with extreme weather conditions, some of our customers are not, at they cannot be blamed for that. This customer feels like we did not honor our word (even though all these contingencies are covered in our agreement's terms & conditions), we feel like we diligently worked hard to fulfill our customer's shipping needs.
