I needed to ship a car from northern California to northwest Washington state. I filled out one of those online quotation forms--and braced for the onslaught of bids for my business. After rceiving bids for a couple of days, I received a call from Keysha at Khonsu Auto Transport. She was very nice and kinda funny. She gave me the best price I'd received thus far. Having just had a horrible experience with a different shipping company. (Don't even ask.) I was leery. I asked her to put everything in writing. She did and emailed me promptly. She followed up with me the next day, and I signed the form she needed. Because of the neighborhood I live in--and the fact that the car I was buying didn't run--Khonsu had to find a car carrier that wasn't too big to reach my house and had a winch. It did take a couple of weeks to find the right driver. But I wasn't in that big of a rush, so it didn't really matter to me. Joey kept in touch with me every day or two to keep me updated. Finally, they found Adrian--a fantastic driver in the Olympia area. The only "catch" was that this was an enclosed trailer, not an open trailer. Nevertheless, Khonsu didn't try to upsell me or anything. They honored the contract we'd signed and stuck to the initial bid. Adrian picked up my car within another day or so and was on his way to me. He did stop in Olympia for a couple of days. (I believe some family obligation arose while he was at home.) But afterward he was on his way. He pulled in front of our house, wheeled the car off the trailer by himself, and started pushing it toward our driveway. (Our street was a bit tight for him to back into our long driveway.) We ran out and joined him in pushing the car to our garage--about 100 feet or so in all. He really went above and beyond. The long and short of it, the price was great, it took a while to pick up my car, but I kinda asked for the moon on this one. Everyone at Khonsu--Keysha, Joey, and Adrian--were a delight to work with.
