My wife and I had our plane tickets bought and paid for when we decided to ship our car. We are leaving California for Ohio because of my job, so I go online and get some quotes for my car move. I get an email quote from Kar Magik that equalled 765.00 and that was an awesome price. I spoke with Rory R. about our car move and he set everything up, I paid the deposit of 165.00 and everything was set to go. Two days later the airline cancels our plane tickets because of "cut-backs" and my wife wants to then drive our-selves. I call Rory and he informs me of the deposit will be returned and because of the holidays it might take a few days...no problem. As my wife is planning our drive she receives a phone call from "Five Towns Auto Transport" and they GUARANTEED our price as well as a pick-up date. She decides to go with them and re-buy our plane tickets to leave as planned, I receive a phone call from Rory telling me that he was "up-front and honest with me and asks why our car is back on the dispatch board?" I tell him that I didn't know what was going on and would call my wife to find out. My wife tells me everything that she had done and I get a voicemail from Rory later that basically stated...."No-one is gonna ship your car for the above amount and makes me feel like I'm stupid for choosing a different transporter"....This whole review is written because of the lack of integrity the representative showed when he didn't win our business...

It's a shame that Nicholas Cumbee sought it necessary to write transport reviews. When in the process of earning a persons transport business I spent all of the time necessary to confirm they understand the process and are comfortable with it. I spent an excessive amount of time to close this deal due to Nick having to confirm and reconfirm all details with his wife. I did earn the business and on 12/29/08 received a security deposit. 4 days later on 1/2/09 I received a call for cancellation because they were going to drive, and I did return the security deposit back to their credit card on 1/5/09. A few days later I observed Nicks car re-posted for transport and was curious as to why I had not re-earned the business, so I called him. He stated to me that he had no knowledge of being re-posted and would call his wife for details and call me back. Before the end of my business day I had not heard from Nick so I called him and got his message machine. I stated to beware of pricing that much lower then my quote because they are hiding pricing that will pop up upon delivery and then it is to late. It was never intended to make Nick feel "stupid" for choosing another transport company but it is interesting that he has zero knowledge of such. It is very unfortunate this this reply had to be submitted and the real lack of integrity was the voice message left by Nicks wife. Rory
