I have had cars shipped between Illinois and Florida for many years. My experience varied from good to awful. The bad experiences included dirty equipment, unpleasant drivers, uncertain schedules and even property damage. It was discouraging. A relative of mine in the antique car business suggested I try Horseless Carriage, and it was a revelation. I've used them ever since. My experience with Horseless has been, almost without exception, excellent. Their trucks are virtually spotless, the drivers are pleasant and neatly dressed, schedules are kept, and the charges, while not cheap, are in the ballpark. I have had the good fortune to mostly deal with one driver over the years, and I have his cell phone number, but failing that, a call to Lorrie in the home office will always get you the information you need. What more can I say?
