I needed a vehicle shipped from Florida to NY recently and started calling auto carriers 800#'s direct. After being told the third time to inquire on line for a quote, carriers said that is how it is done now, I did. Little did I know that I would be besieged with 20 calls and 20 emails within minutes. I received quite a lengthy, but very informative email from Honest Auto Movers with a quote that was below all the others, so I called. Don stated it was auto-generated and implanted by the lead source into the email so I would have their name and #- and it was stated that in the first email. He looked up what pricing was accepted recently and what others were offering- saying that is how pricing is derived. He explained everything simply put that no matter who I booked with it would eventually cost that amount, no matter what others quoted initially. He then backed everything he said up with an email to include 2 pictures of the accepted sample and the load board the carriers use to get vehicles. I booked and Don told me a deposit wasn't required, but told me why they take their fee/deposit upfront- and it sounded legit. If they had to scramble to get my deposit and then call the carrier back- the carrier may have called the next vehicle and that spot may be gone when Don or Mark called them back. My SUV was picked up right on time and delivered when promised. Communication was great. I was always able to get ahold of DON or MARK, even on sunday and well after business hours. Don said they forward the phones to each other and do not believe in voicemail- if they miss a call they may miss a customer's ride. I would recommend these guys to anyone, trust me, they tell it like it is and have a great knowledge of the industry. Other brokers called after I booked with Honest Auto Movers and told me to cancel with them- they said they could do it for less and had a truck around the corner(Don said I would hear that)- others' sales tactics once they saw that Honest had my business. I knew enough not to listen to them. Everything went smooth and they made my auto shipping easy!!!
