TRYING TO GET DEPOSIT BACK

On July 15, 2015 I contacted Heartland to get a quote to move a car and a motorcycle from WV to California. I received a quote that same day Quote 722615-GH for 1498.00. On July 17, I received an email that the deposit of 298.00 was received. The deposit was a debit card since they said they do not use Credit cards. They sent me via email the driver information and such. I received an phone call that evening from a person stating that he was going to pick up the vehicles the next morning, but he was not the contact that I was given and also I told them when the vehicles needed to be down there for this was for a US MARINE and he was not on base yet. I told that person I needed to call the next morning to verify that he was ok to pick up and that he stated that he would call also. I emailed Heartland as well, the driver never called back, never called Heartland and they could not give me a reason who he was. So we waited for the next driver, but it never happened.
So we personally took the vehicles ourselves to our Marine. I have numerous emails relating to get my deposit back but to no avail. I even got a phone call and emails from the owner stating to the fact that I would get my money back...It is November 2015 and I have been trying since August 1, 2015 to get my deposit back.
I have gotten all kinds of excuses and I have emails to back them up as well.
At this point, I will have to take the legal process to get my money back.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE
( This was for an active US MARINE that just rotated back into the US after 2yrs out of the country)
