I was sent an e-mail by Haulmatch.com that my car was picked up in Wichita Kansas. I however never received ahead of time a phone call or e-mail contact of exactly what day the car would arrive to my house. I left at note on the shipping contract online which stated. LEAVE CAR BEHIND NAVY BLUE PICKUP IN DRIVEWAY. IF YOU ARRIVE BEFORE 3:30PM PUT KEYS IN SMALL WINDOW OF DRIVERS SIDE OF TRUCK. Driver called about 10am on 11/21/2012 and left a message on my answering machine that he would be at my house in about an hour. Well my phone number is a house phone not a cell phone so being not there before 3:30pm I was unable to receive the call. If driver had called a day ahead of time arrangements could have been made for me to be there. Driver arrived about 11:30am and was unable to get the car out of park since the battery was dead. The key in the ignition was left on when I picked up the car from storage. Driver should have called our local Ford dealer in Topeka Kansas to find out if you put jumper cables on the battery the car shifts into neutral. Also the cup holder has a hole to put a screwdriver into the release into neutral. Driver said he was unalbe to remove the car from the trailer he had. Driver to the car to Shawnee Auto Towing in Topeka Kansas about 4 miles from my house. Shawnee Auto got the car out of neutral. Why the driver did not then take the car back to my house 4 miles away for delivery. Car was left at Shawnee Auto and they charged me $90.00 for unloading and a days storage fees. The car was there less than 5 hours.
I e-mailed Haulmatch.com so I would not have to explain so much over the phone like they should have done for me. The guy I talked to on the phone told me lie after lie. I told him I had no way of knowing which day my cars was to arrive. He told me the e-mail had been sent with the drivers phone number. I still have that e-mail and sent it to them as there is no phone number or person in the e-mail to contact. At the end he told me they were a transporter and their drivers do not have to load or unload the car if the do not want to. I would never use this company again. I would like my $90.00 storage and loading fee refunded. I am not asking for the $80.00 that I had to tow my car home from Shawnee Auto myself. Shawnee Auto says they would have charged me around $80.00 to tow it home for me.
