Gold Star Transport was hired to move a vehicle from Greensboro, NC to Elm Grove, LA. I was told that transport times would be set up during the week of 6/8/15. This never happened. I made numerous calls to try and contact Gold Star Transport to verify a shipping time window and date. My calls were never returned in a timely manner. I finally received a text on Monday at 9:00 AM, the last available day for vehicle pickup. At this point there was still no date and time set up for a carrier to pick up the vehicle. I was told that there is a carrier available but could not be provided a time window for pick up and drop off. I was flying out of RDU airport back to Shreveport, LA on Tuesday morning. I would not be arriving in Shreveport until late Tuesday afternoon. I was told that I would need to be present with the rest of the balance in cash to give to the driver. It could not be guaranteed that the truck would arrive at my residence after I had returned home. It could also not be guaranteed that the vehicle would be picked up at a specific window on Monday. I had to travel from Greensboro to Raleigh Monday afternoon to catch a flight in the morning of 6/16.

Gold Star Transport knew of all of my travel plans and dates over a month in advance of the vehicle transportation date. Calls were never returned in a timely manner, they were usually not returned at all. I was consistently told conflicting information starting with the amount of my deposit and the amount that was actually taken out of my credit card. I was told the deposit was $100 but they charged my credit card $195. The amount of the original quote was significantly lower than what I Gold Star Transport was trying to charge me. The shipping amount changed several times. I was told that it would be no problem to ship my vehicle within the given time window. Several thousand dollars was spent flying to Greensboro to prepare the vehicle for shipment to Louisiana. The entire trip was planned around the promise that my vehicle pickup would be set up for the same time. A shipping order was never officially put in due to the unprofessionalism and inconsistencies of the way Gold Star Transport conducted business. I am out thousands of dollars in travel fees and still do not have my vehicle in Louisiana. They are also trying to keep my deposit.

I am always disappointed in receiveing a negative review because this industry is decided by money and availability of carriers to a particular area. This is a door to door service not terminal to terminal and I am only a dispatcher of services. I do not defraud people in any way. I earn a living seearching out the best carrier available for each persons schedule and I do this 7 days a week without fail since 2008. I know I can't make every customer happy so they are always invited to share their experience good or bad. It is hard to have a customer that I have worked on for days berate my good name and my efforts as fraud. It is very slanderous and damaging. I worked for Mrs. Geiger for a month setting up transport within her days needed and managed to secure a coarrier on the final day with delivery the next day . Mrs Geiger is upset because I can't give her an exact time. It is not my place to do so. ONLY the driver can do that so instead she cancelled the carrier last minute and posted this awful review. This was never about money only about time. Her travel plans had nothing to do with me as she stated and she has since rebooked with another company. I wish her well as I do all my clients. I am very forthright with all my clients and I keep them abreast of all needed information. I work 7 days a week amd am availble on multiple platforms to be contacted if needed. Please contact me if there are further questions or if I can clear the air on anything. Ellen Kealey
