I agreed to pay Gold Star Transport (truck brokerage service) $500 more than other brokerage services claimed that they would move my vehicle from California to New York. Gold Star Transport contracted with COASTAL EXPRESS INC. (a transport service company) to actually transport my vehicle. COASTAL EXPRESS picked up my vehicle 3 days later than the agreed date and did not deliver my vehicle to the agreed destination or on the agreed destination date. A day after the agreed date of delivery we were told that we would not receive our vehicle for two more days. We opted to make the required hour drive to pick up our vehicle at the nearest COASTAL EXPRESS terminal/yard in order to get our vehicle still later than agreed. Ellen with Gold Star Transport expressed her dismay and disappointment when she was informed of my experience. Unfortunately that did not change my experience of very poor service with COASTAL EXPRESS. She did in all fairness, arrange to get my vehicle transported when other brokers would or could not get it done. Unfortunately the contracted carrier (COASTAL EXPRESS INC.) did not follow through with the agreement. I cannot and would not recommend COASTAL EXPRESS INC. (the transport company) based on the experience I have had with them.

In response to Mr. Kozera very hurtful review he became my client after contracting with another company who subsequently took two deposits from him and NEVER delivered any services. He contacted me and I agreed to do my best to help him in any way I could to get his vehicle moved because I felt badly that another company took advantage of him I worked for two weeks to obtain a carrier for his truck with NO CONTRACT OR DEPOSIT trying to help him out of a bad situation . His route was extremely difficult Northern CA to Chateaugay NY (almost the Canadian border) , very big pickup with extended cab and needs to move immediately because of delays with the other company. We finally contracted Coastal Express, a very reliable carrier with great ratings who scheduled with Mr. Kozera to pick up on Aug 19th and deliver on Aug 27th (8 days travel ) Pick up was delayed by three days,( these things do happen ) but Coastal Express contacted Mr. Kozera to inform him and all was agreed to pick up on the 22nd with delivery 8 days later. Driver arrived in NY on time on Sunday the 30th to Coastal Express and contacted the client to let him know that because it was Labor Day ( not to mention he just drove across country! ) he would deliver the truck on Tues after the holiday. That would have been fine except their current working vehicle just died and now they needed the truck ASAP and offered to drive to the yard to pick up the truck . Pick up was made at the yard of Coastal Express . Total move 8 days. I am shocked and saddened that Mr. Kozera would write such a scathing review that would hurt my business after I did all I could to help him. I understand that his frustration is not with me but a build up of past experiences with the other company. A three day delay does not warrant being the target of his frustration. I feel the need to defend my integrity and character and have responded to this review the best I can, as you can see I have never had a negative review and will continue to do my best for every client.
