This was my third time shipping a vehicle. I understand that the brokers are at the mercy of the independent drivers. I received numerous quotes for transporting my Honda Pilot from NJ to NC. Prices ranged from $545 to $950. So, following the theory that you avoid the lowest and the highest, I proceeded to do my due diligence by checking ratings (Trustpilot and BBB). I read some horror stories! It turns out that the lowest price, GetCarrier.com, had very good reviews so I gave them a shot. I contracted with the first company, Bird Auto Transport, LLC. The day he was supposed to pick up my Pilot, he cancels due to "mechanical problems". Alice was on top of the issue and immediately started working on finding a replacement carrier. She texted me within an hour with another company who was willing to pick the car up the SAME DAY and deliver the NEXT DAY! That carrier wanted a few dollars more so Alice agreed to take the difference out of her fee to make the deal work! The driver, Fernando, with S & G America Transport, Inc. in Leominster, MA called me within minutes. He was very professional and courteous and gave me an ETA of between 4-4:30 PM. At 3:55 PM, he arrived. Again, he was professional, courteous, and thorough. Fernando kept me apprised of his progress and had an ETA of approximately 3:15 PM the next day. At 3:10, he was there! He was driving a brand new truck so I felt comfortable knowing he would not have any excuse not to be there, as promised. All in all, this experience was AAA+++!!! Thank you Alice and Fernando!!!
