Car treated like scrap metal

I had a classic car purchased at auction shipped cross-country by Geo Express. I was told they would pick up the car with a winch. Instead they had the auction lot put the car on the carrier with a forklift like it was one of the totalled scrap cars. Now there is damage on the underbody of the car.

Communicating with the driver was a nightmare because he could barely speak english. "Yes", "no", "give me money", etc.

When the car arrived the driver drove the truck on my neighbor's grass and dropped the car off in their driveway. They could have stayed on the street and let cars go around them. I told them this - but they didn't understand what I was saying.

In my rush to get the world's biggest truck off my neighbor's lawn I quickly paid them and signed their release form. They charged me the forklift fee they incurred (while my car was being damaged at the pickup location). I didn't get a receipt for the transport or additional fee.

Anyway, when they left I noticed a fresh gouge on the roof. It was a good-sized dent with paint removed down to the metal. I think some part of their carrier truck dug into the roof. There were probably other dents and scratches caused by them, but none are as impressive as the roof or underbody. I am certainly regretting that a broker chose this company to move my car.

I spoke to Ethan and i explained to him that there is no way for us to use our winch in IAA they load using a forklift, plus they charged the driver $20 as loading fee, that's how they deal with their service. and no new damaged was caused by us; all the paper work been faxed to Ethan. the drivers were good in English, but maybe a little hard to understand them. we picked up exactly on 3/6/2012 as they asked us to do and they asked delivery no later than 3/13/2012 and we delivered 3/12/2012.
