I used G&L to ship my Mini Cooper at the last minute; they had a carrier ready later on that day! Their broker fee is very low (I paid $95) compared to some other companies who charge upwards of $200! Fred was patient and clear. I recieved plenty of information through email about what to do and when and what was going on.
Now this is some information which I found EXCEEDINGLY helpful; this is for people who have never shipped a car before. All of the carriers access a central database of jobs. All brokers you see on this website or online just post to this same database. There is a "flat rate" for transporting a car, so for example when you see quotes from $795 to $1300, the DRIVER is being paid the same amount (say $700) and the BROKER is taking $95-$600 off the top!! Shopping around is therefore pretty useless, beause if you put in requests with 3 brokers, you end up on the database 3 times and get calls from truckers saying your request will be ignored because its obviously messed up. I was told by another broker "we're better because we pay our drivers more". This is a lie, they are paying them the same rate and charging a higher fee.
G&L truly had the lowest fee around and were transparrant and honest. I would use them again in a heartbeat.
**NOTE: this review was for the broker ONLY, not the driver. My driver was also awesome but this review does not include him.
