I contacted G&L based on the reviews here on transportreview.com. Needless to say, I was very pleased with their service.

It was a little difficult to find a transporter at the original quote price due to recent fuel cost increases (3 or 4 days past my initial available pick up date); however, after I offered a $50 increase over my original quoted price, my car was picked up by a transport the same day. Mind you, even with the $50 increase G&L was still $50 lower than the next lowest quote from other companies.

I purchased my car online and from out of state, so this was my first time needing to transport a car, and I felt really unsure of who to trust after seeing the wide range of quotes from various companies. Fred, at G&L, helped to put me at ease. Other companies made me feel as if I was being smooth talked into giving them my business, while Fred had more of a “take it or leave it” attitude. He was very up front and confident in his quote and service, which made the decision to give him my business easy. He explained how and why he arrived at his quote and further explained why other companies where so much more expensive than his. I’m glad I listen to him, because I got the service I needed at a price I felt comfortable with without feeling needlessly fleeced of my hard earned money.

WORD TO THE WISE: Be sure to ask other companies how much of their quoted price goes to the actual transport driver who is choosing to pick up your car. Obviously the higher the amount the driver is getting the quicker your car will be picked up and transported. The rest of the money is a nice “commission” to the listing broker. Since all these companies use the same computer listing service, why should you over pay someone just to list your car on this commonly used lservice?

In short, the transporter picked up the car, in Northern California, and delivered, to DFW, as promised in 6 days. No damages or issues. I would highly recommended G&L.

(FYI: for any of you who cared to know or were wondering) I will mention, after the car was transported, I recieved an email from G&L offering me a $25 rebate for placing a review on this site. I wasn't told about the rebate before choosing to use G&L's services and would have left this same review without the rebate. It is nice to know I saved an additional $25 overall, if I really do get the rebate from them.
